This Thing Called Life

     So I was sitting here at work thinking about everything and this idea popped into my head. Since I'm not putting as much money into my Pensacola Beach vacation fund, I thought of the phrase "pennies for Pensacola". Yea I know, weird that that just popped into my head but whatever. I'm going to start saving my pennies separate from my other spare change so that I know at least some money will be in my vacation fund. It may take longer to save up with pennies but I'll throw other change into the jar when I remember or feel like it. I want to go there so bad. The pictures I see and the stories I read make me wish I would have started saving a long time ago. I've never been that far south, plus I'll be driving since I don't like planes. It will be a long car ride but at least I could take my time coming back and stop at places that look interesting. Let the penny savings begin!

     The idea to take a road trip randomly popped into my head after my boyfriend kept complaining about how he never gets to travel and go to different places. I thought "neither do I" quietly to myself. So with that said, I thought of a warm, sunshine bearing place in America that we could travel to...Florida. My mom has talked about how she went to Pensacola Beach before. She says it was beautiful, warm and so on. So I thought, why not? Last night I created my vacation jar to throw spare change and dollar bills into. My goal is to save $1500 and for my boyfriend save $1500 just so we have plenty of money to spend and cover us if we need it.      Before we go, I am going to have the auto shop look over my entire car and check all fluids so that if something needs to be fixed, I can have it fixed before we leave. We haven't set an exact date yet since we are no where the amount of money we need to go, but that will come soon enough. We will need...

Today is my last full day of work for a week. And I'm sure it will be SLOW as ever. During my week off I plan to accomplish a few things, and organizing my room is the main one. I have stuff everywhere. The Christmas presents are understandable. I can't put them under the tree because my dogs will open them (weird I know, they are like children). Other things I plan on getting done is fixing my passenger window in my car, getting my hair trimmed and possibly adding colors, and preparing myself for the new year and a new semester of college! I know I talk about that a lot in my blog postings but I can't help it. I really love going to school and working my way towards a great career. I'm hoping this break will also allow me to catch up on sleep and relaxation since I have been stressing about so many things at once. The presents I got for everyone should make them happy.
