Preparing for NCLEX!



     I have exactly one month from Today to prepare myself for the NCLEX! I am nervous and also excited at the same time. Prayers needed for passing on the first try :)

Elimination time

In order to help me completely delete fast food from my life, I have "un-friended" or "un-liked" every fast food chain from my Facebook page. Keeping them on there wouldn't have helped because they offer coupons and remind of you of buy 2 get 1 free or 2 for $2 sales. I'm glad I deleted them and I recommend others trying to eliminate it to do so as well. I don't even think about fast food anymore unless someone mentions it. Since the beginning of the year, I have to say that as far as I have come, I'm very proud of myself. I've finally realized that losing weight for me will take baby steps and some time, but I have already completed the biggest step which was quitting fast food and soda completely. I feel better about myself and I hope to work out more than I do now. Summer is right around the corner and I am no where near my goal. I just wish some things were easier.

My Duties As A SAHG (Stay At Home Girlfriend)

      Back in June of this year I left one of the most toxic places I have ever worked at. There were so many things going on that I will just leave it at that. If you would like more details, check out my YouTube channel  here.  I thought it would be a good time to give nursing a break and take a different career path. I applied at an auto insurance company and started about 4 weeks ago but ended up leaving. Sitting all ay, wearing a headset, and having more than 2 meetings to attend per day is not my cup of tea. I gave a two week notice and have been a stay at home girlfriend since. In the last two weeks I've sent out over 20 applications. One place called me for an interview and they never followed up after I met. An animal shelter offered me a position as well but unfortunately, $11 per hour will not pay my mortgage.  My boyfriend works very hard. Slow & Steady

     Personally, I think I have come a long way from January of last year. I decided to make healthier life choices when I realized my jean size was steady rising. For someone now to tell me I'm fat or need to lose weight only makes me wonder what they would say if they saw me back then or if they knew me what they were thinking. That I'm a cow? Whale? A lot of people, fit and skinnier ones to be exact, don't realize how hurtful their words are to someone who is overweight or obese. Yes, we gained the weight on our own but they have no idea why. Mine started after I stopped eating for weeks in middle school all because the guy I liked told me to lose 20 pounds before he would even consider talking me. That felt like a punch to the face. I fed my food to my dog. Then when my mom noticed something wrong and the hospital threatened to feed me through a tube, I started eating again.
